Prejudice

Prejudice is everywhere and in almost everything that we do. For instance most of us call basketball and football an African American sport while golf and hockey is considered a Caucasian sport and soccer and baseball a Latino sport. Math for Asian people and English for London people so on and so on. Even though it has been a long time that the minorities have been strongly discriminated on, it still exit but not as severe as the past. For example I work in a Jewish community center. I been working there for almost a year. Even though I work with mixture of kids ( Jewish, non Jewish, rich, non rich) my boss love my work but when I applied for work for the summer in the fall they turned me down, she told me that they prefer people more like their kids that will be attend summer camp (only Jewish).
Discrimination hurts like a huge knife being stab in your heart. Culture, beliefs and gender are important factors in the ideology of discrimination. I wish there was not any discrimination in the world because the world would be a better place. Discrimination is not only skin deep, it includes rap victims, disable people, homosexuality, Tran- sexuality, cancer, HIV, AIDS, and other disease.
It is very hard to stop discrimination; I believe that some people discriminate, not realizing that he or she is doing it subconsciously. I also believe that people, who are involved in discriminating acts unintentionally, had not been taught the basic principle of discrimination.
Unintentional discrimination is very different than intentional discrimination. When someone is intentionally doing something wrong, I believe that this person is cruel. There are people who know that they are discriminating to a specific values, beliefs, culture, race, or gender. This is what hurts when someone intentionally doing something wrong.
There are programs that help to reduce discrimination but to me they do not really work I believe that the government should make it mandatory for people to attend these programs and if they do not show up there should be consequences.
Discrimination is not to be played with it is hurtful and down right nasty, one should watch what they say and how they say it.
