beliefs help people be who they are

I believe that beliefs help people be who they are. For example I am a Christian, even though I do not follow everything the bible says, I still base my whole values, attitude and my decision making on a Christian structure. My beliefs dictate what I do, how I act, how I socialize and how I learn. My beliefs connect with my culture.
Beliefs are basic essentials that influence culture along with influencing cultural customs. In a culture, beliefs are used as a supporting tool to enhance the growth of a stable daily living.
Values are specific beliefs about the desirability or undesirability if thought, objects, behavior or conduct, or conditions of being. Values are implicit or explicit judgments about things, goals, and actions undesirable. Values are also decisions or choices made by individuals and cultures regarding what the significance of food or evil, right or wrong, beautiful or ugly, useful or useless, worthwhile or worthless and the gamut between.
Values are connected to belief and culture. Without beliefs, a culture would not be a culture
Attitudes are also a kind of beliefs. Where values are beliefs about what is good or bad, how one should or should hot behave or what terminal conditions of being are worthy or unworthy of attaining, attitudes are specific actions oriented beliefs.
Reading this article helped me realize that if one tries to change their beliefs, values, or attitudes, that it would be vary hard to do. For example, someone who has been taught that something bad is good all their life and one day realizing that what they have been taught was wrong; to change their mentality would take years to do but one can make the effort to change their mind . I have also realized that everyone has a belief, value, and attitude that they base their life on.
